Error: After several attempts Word was unable to ... (due to document size).
Error:
After several attempts, Word was unable to shrink the document by one page.
Cause:
The Shrink to Fit option is enabled in a document and Word has unsuccessfully repaginated several times in an attempt to reduce the number of pages in the document. The document is too large to repaginate successfully.
Solution:
Close the document without saving it. Open the document again and preview normally.
1) Close the document without saving it.
2) Re-open the document.
3) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Print Preview'.
NOTE: DO NOT click 'Shrink' to 'Fit'.
